Duyos Spring | Summer 2018 Womenswear

Born in Madrid, began working in 1992 with the designer Manuel Piña while, in parallel, he designed his first collections with Cecilia Paniagua, as DUYOS & PANIAGUA, reaping a great interest in his work. He also collaborates with Antonio Pernas.

After several parades of the signature in Pasarela Cibeles and the participation in 1998 in the London Fashion Week, Juan signs his first collection like DUYOS in 1999, "Remember and guard" that was awarded like the best collection of Cibeles. Throughout his career, he has been awarded several awards, such as Glamor, Lancia, Vanity ....

In 2002, he was appointed creative director of the legendary firm Don Algodón, whose work at the head of the creative team was able to revitalize and make the brand current. He performed this work until 2005, combining it with his own DUYOS collection and his usual presence in Pasarela Cibeles, and collaborating with brands such as Levi's, Swatch, Absolut or Adidas, among others.

Since 2005, DUYOS has been developed with an optical line, DUYOS VISTA and other accessories.

FANDEDUYOS, the second line of the firm, was born in 2006 with a great reception.

Also in 2006 he began his collaboration with the weekly supplement YODONA of the newspaper El Mundo, writing a monthly column, "Cut of sleeves".

Duyos continues to participate in various exhibitions, such as MMODANY at Queen Sofia Spanish Intitute in NY; the traveling exhibition 12 Costumes for ..., opened in Tokyo and also exhibited in Beijing, Istanbul and Milan or Fashion is Dream, presented in 2012 at the Museo Cerralbo in Madrid.

It also continues to expand through new licenses such as home or mobile accessories, in addition to its work as atelier and especially, designing wedding dresses.

Duyos also makes numerous collaborations, projects and co-brandings with companies and brands of various types, such as Procter & Gamble, Campari, Unilever, Ecovidrio, Silestone, Nokia, Seagram's, Osborne, Special K or Nintendo.

In September 2009, she presented her "Tiki" collection at NY Fashion Week, within the collective project 4EYES, through an artistic video installation, enjoying great media repercussion both nationally and internationally.

Since September 2011, Juan Duyos has been the Grade Director of ESNE's Fashion Design career.

The collection presented in MBFWM called "Reserva" is awarded by L'Orèal as the best collection of the autumn-winter season 2013-14.

Duyos has forged a unique and recognizable style based on their use of color, fabric, volumes and silhouettes of the house, always with one eye on the past and another on the future.
